上海曹鹏音乐中心及上海城市交响乐团

　上海曹鹏音乐中心是从事社会文化服务和社会公益事业的非企业法人组织。中心汇聚了海内外卓有成就的音乐家和社会各界有识之士，致力于普及高雅音乐，加强国际城市间的艺术交流，推动中国音乐文化的繁荣发展。为更好地推广交响乐这一高雅艺术，提高市民音乐鉴赏水平和文化修养，培养更多的交响乐爱好者。上海城市交响乐团由上海曹鹏音乐中心于2005年组建，是世界业余交响乐团联盟组织成员之一。
　乐团由居住在上海、具有相当演奏水平的中外音乐爱好者组成。乐团以服务社会公益事业为目标，以传播爱心为理念，以繁荣和发展音乐艺术为宗旨，为推广城市交响乐事业，促进和谐社会构建做贡献。乐团以“城市之声——走入市民、走进企业、走出上海、走向世界”为主题开展系列音乐推广活动，取得了良好的社会效应。乐团由此荣获了政府及有关部门的多项奖项，并获得上海文化基金会资助项目。

Shanghai Cao Peng Music Center and Shanghai City Symphony Orchestra

Shanghai Cao Peng Music Center is a non-profit legal organization engaged in social cultural service and welfare. The Center brings together outstanding local and overseas music, to the support of artistic communications between major cities all around the world, and to promote the prosperity of music in China.
In order to enhance the public appreciation of music and to bring in more Symphony lovers, our famous and respected conductor, Maestro Cao Peng, founded the Shanghai City Symphony Orchestra in 2005.
In August 2005, the World  Federation of Amateur Orchestras (WFAO) invited the Cao Peng Music Center to attend the “EXPO 2005 AICHI” Theme Concert and the culture conferences which were held in Nagoya, Japan. There events received broad attention from international music lovers.
The Orchestra is composed of Chinese and foreign music lovers living in Shanghai who have a high level of instrument playing. The aim of the orchestra is to serve society and the community, develop and extend the love of classical music and to make it prosper. The Orchestra makes contributions towards the development of classical music and harmonious society construction.
With the theme of “City’s Voice”, the Orchestra performed a series of concerts dedicated to the society, which achieved good social effects. The Orchestra was crowned with prize several times by the municipal offices and other agents, and also awarded a Shanghai Cultural Foundation project grant.
